What I Did Not Like About Neetu Singh English Vol 1
No book is perfect, and this book also has some limitations. I think you should understand these limitations before buying it.
a) Limited Vocabulary Section
Neetu Singh English Vol 1 mainly focuses on grammar. So, you will not find topics like Comprehension, Cloze Test, or Sentence Arrangement here which are important parts of any competitive exams with this book. To cover them you will need a separate book.
I suggest picking up Neetu Singh’s English for General Competitions Vol 2, which covers Vocabulary, Phrases and Idioms, and Comprehension in good detail.
So, I would treat Volume 1 as a grammar-focused book rather than a complete English preparation book.
b) No Explanation for Exercise Answers
This one bothered me a bit. The exercises provide answers, but they do not provide detailed explanations for every answer.
An experienced student may not find this a major problem. But a beginner may sometimes wonder why one option is correct and another option is wrong.

My Honest Suggestions for Using this Book
Here are the study methods I would suggest if you decide to use Neetu Singh English Vol 1.
Start From the First Chapter – Start from the beginning, even if you already know some basic grammar. The book follows a rule-based structure, so going through the chapters in order can help you build your foundation properly.
Maintain a Separate Notebook of Rules and Exceptions- I strongly suggest keeping a small notebook for important rules and exceptions. Whenever you find a rule confusing, write it down in your own words. You can also mark questions that you answered incorrectly. During revision, these notes can save you a lot of time.
Complete One Chapter at a Time – Study one chapter every week and revise it before moving to the next. Do not skip the examples at all as similar type of MCQs come in exams too.
Revise Difficult Topics More Than Once– Some grammar topics need repeated revision.I would pay extra attention to areas such as: Modals, Tense, Noun, Narration, Prepositions.
Do not feel frustrated if you forget a rule after studying it once. Grammar improves through repeated revision and practice.
