Rakesh Yadav SSC Maths Book is one such book which every aspirant keeps in his reference book list for SSC, CGL, CHSL, CPO, Railway or any competitive exam where Quantitative Aptitude plays a major role.
But the biggest question is whether we should follow Rakesh Yadav SSC Maths Book or not or else this book has got too much hype without any meaning. Being an aspirant myself, I have used this book in detail and whatever experience I have had with this book, I am presenting the same to the opponents with honesty. I will discuss every aspect and in the end I will also give my practical suggestion.

- SSC CGL (Tier I & I)
- CPO
- CHSL (Tier I & II)
- MTS
- CDS
- GD Constable
- Any other Central/State-level Exam
Standout Features You’ll Love
a) Based on real SSC Exam Questions
The first special thing about this book is that this entire book is based on previous year SSC Exam questions due to which you will remain updated on every question pattern and hence this book will help you a lot in your preparation because many times SSC questions or their pattern repeats.
b) Topic-Wise Arrangement
In this book, questions of every chapter have been given type wise which will make it easy for you to do systematic revision. There are questions of total 36 topics i.e. every topic given in the syllabus has been covered.
- Number System
- Percentage
- Profit & Loss
- Height & Distance
- Age
- Simple & Compound Interest

c) Full Coverage of TCS Pattern
As I have told earlier, this book contains questions of TCS pattern which have been implemented in SSC exams after 2019 — concise statements, updated styles with logical approach.
d) Video Solution Support
Another special feature of the Rakesy Yadav 7300+ book is that it provides visual support. If you’re unsure about a question, you can watch the video solution. You’ll find complete details on how to use this feature in the book. I think this feature will be very helpful for self-study.
e) Compact but Complete
This is a value for money book in which you get 7300+ MCQs under ₹500 in both Hindi and English languages which I like very much.
Combo Suggestion
I have only one suggestion that you should practice Rakesh Yadav Maths Class Notes (Concept Book) and this 7300+ Practice Book together then it will be easy for you to understand every chapter.
f) Best for Speed Practice
When your concept of every chapter is clear then this book will be best for you to practice.
You can do all this with this book.

What You Might Not Like
a) No Theory
There is no theory given in this book which is a minus point according to me. If you are a beginner then before practicing from this book you must use Rakesh Yadav Class Notes or NCERT books only then it will be easy for you to solve the questions. Because only questions and short solutions are given in this book.
b) Short Solutions given in some Chapters
There is one more minus point which I did not like, in some chapters like Trigonometry and Geometry the solutions are given very briefly. It seems as if some steps have been skipped. If you are self-studying it can be difficult for you for which you can take help of YouTube videos or Telegram group.
c) Only for SSC-Type Exams
With this book, you can practice only for SSC-Type Exams because only that type of MCQs are given in it. You cannot prepare for other exams like CAT, GRE, GMAT, IBPS/Banking etc. with this book.

My Personal Suggestion
Before using this book I strongly recommend you to clear your basics by practicing Rakesh Yadav Class Notes and watching his YouTube videos. After that you should practice 50-100 topic-wise MCQs daily from this book. Track any mistake you make and revise it again so that all your doubts will get cleared. Also start doing timer-based practice sessions so that your Mock Test score will increase by at least 50% from your previous score in just 1 month. I am saying this from my personal experience because many of the questions in all the Mock tests that I appeared came directly or were inspired by this book.
| Aspirant Type | Recommendation |
| SSC Beginner | Only after theory |
| SSC Intermediate | Yes, Very Useful |
| SSC Repeater/Dropper | It is necessary |
| Banking(IBPS/PO etc) | It will not work |
| CAT/GMAT Aspirants | It is not relevant |
💡Pro Tip: What to Use Together
- Concept Book: Rakesh Yadav Class Notes / NCERT Books
- Mock Tests: Testbook, Adda247, Oliveboard etc.
- Doubts for: YouTube (Rakesh Yadav YT Channel) + Telegram groups
- Speed Practice: To boost your speed try to solve 25 questions in 15 minutes every day. Make it a daily habit.
Final Verdict – Should You Buy It?
Yes – this book is right for those aspirants who have cleared basics and are seriously practicing for SSC. If you are beginner, then don’t practice with this book from starting.
Along with being compact, this book is also budget-friendly and real exam-level MCQs have been included. But you cannot learn concepts from this book. According to me, this book is best for practice.
Final Rating:
I have given 4 out of 5 star on the basis of following criteria
