The full name of the book is Rakesh Yadav SSC Mathematics 7300+. It is written by Rakesh Yadav Sir and published by Rakesh Yadav Readers Publications Pvt. Ltd. The current edition on the market is the 2026 edition, which is the 15th print run of this book.
As the name suggests, it includes more than 7300 questions taken from previous year SSC papers such as CGL, CHSL, CPO, MTS, CDS, and GD Constable, along with short solutions for each one. The book has also been updated to match the current exam pattern of SSC.

Rakesh yadav math book is a great addition to your daily study table. The first thing I noticed is that Rakesh Yadav Sir has picked the best questions from SSC, Railway, and CHSL papers. He has also added older but frequently repeated questions from previous years. The book gives you the perfect number of questions for your daily practice.
What I liked most is that the book provides just the right number of questions for practice β not an overwhelming number like the Kiran Maths book. Rakesh Yadav Sir first explains the solution for each question type using basic math formulas. After that, he solves the exact same question using a smart trick. By doing this, he makes you understand the basic concept of the question first and then makes you learn the shortcut method to solve the question to save your time in the exam hall.

The book contains exactly 36 chapters that cover the full Quantitative Aptitude syllabus and each chapter is organized by question type and difficulty level. It makes the daily preparation so easy and smooth for the students. For example, the Mensuration 3D chapter alone has 241 handpicked questions covering nearly every variation you might face in the actual exam.
You will find questions starting from a very basic level and moving up to advanced tiers. Rakesh Yadav Sir maintains a high standard of questions across every single chapter, which means you do not need to jump between multiple books as your preparation level improves. Starting from the 15th edition, Rakesh Yadav Readers Publications stopped printing this book in a bilingual format. Instead, they now offer separate English and Hindi editions. This smart decision reduces the total number of pages significantly. It also makes the final price much more affordable for all students. You can easily find this book on online stores for under 500 rupees.
A tip that worked well for me: pair this practice book with Rakesh Yadav’s Maths Class Notes, which is more of a concept book. Studying both together makes each chapter click much faster.
5. Great for Speed Building
Once your basic concepts are clear, this book becomes an excellent tool for speed practice.
You can use it for your daily timed practice sessions. You can complete section-wise revisions very quickly. It genuinely helped me improve both my speed and my accuracy over time.

Where This Book Falls Short
No book is perfect, and I want to be fully transparent about the weak points that I noticed in this book.
1. No Theory or Concept Explanation
This is the biggest drawback in my opinion. The book jumps straight into questions and short solutions without teaching any underlying theory. If you are a complete beginner, do not start your preparation with this book. You must read the Rakesh Yadav Class Notes or basic NCERT books first. Only then will you find it easy to solve the problems in this practice book.
2. Some Solutions Are Too Short
There is one more minus point which I did not like. In some chapters like Trigonometry and Geometry, Rakesh Yadav Sir gives the solutions very briefly. It felt like several steps were skipped, which can be difficult for you if you are self- studying. You may need to take help of Rakesh Yadav Sir Class Notes or his YouTube videos.
3. Only for SSC-Type Exams
This book is strictly designed for SSC pattern Exams. If your target exam is CAT, GRE, GMAT, or any banking exam like IBPS or SBI PO, this book will not help you much. So choose it only if your exam falls in the SSC category.

My Honest Suggestion Before You Start
Before using this book I strongly recommend you to clear your basics by practicing Rakesh Yadav Class Notes and watching his YouTube videos. After that you should try to practice at least 50 topic-wise MCQs daily from this book. Track any mistake you make and revise it again so that all your doubts will get cleared. Also start doing timer-based practice sessions so that your Mock Test score will increase by at least 50% from your previous score in just 1 month. I am saying this from my personal experience because many of the questions in all the Mock tests that I appeared came directly or were inspired by this book.

Yes, if you have already cleared your basic concepts and are serious about SSC exam preparation, this book deserves a place in your study table. It is compact, budget friendly, and filled with real exam level questions that mirror the actual difficulty you will face on exam day.
However, if you have just started your preparation, do not pick this book as your first resource. Build your concepts elsewhere first, then come back to this one for intensive practice.
Overall, I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. It is not a complete package, but as a practice book, it does its job extremely well.
